Second, they could have avoided the overcrowding by either limiting the # of tickets sold or setting up alternate stations for booze aside from the single bar. This resulted in a very long line of very drunk individuals, yelling and frustration for both the staff and guests.
I strongly believe the lounge oversold tickets because when we arrived at 10pm (event started 9pm) they were out of VIP wrist bands and were scrambling to find others that were not for general admission.
For 200+ guests there was 1 bar with 2 extremely tired bartenders. White plastic covered cafeteria tables, etc. The decor looked like it was from the dollar store. We literally asked if we were on the wrong floor. My girlfriend and I walked in and actually thought we walked into an 8 year old child's birthday party. The location being far from Time Square was also quite attractive to me so we went ahead and purchased VIP tickets which included their open bar.įast forward to the night of NYE. The reviews weren't great but some of the photos looked nice and my friend was bringing her camera to take photos for the night.
